The Zombie King’s Heartthrob Girlfriend (35)
The system watched her calm appearance.
Simply, dreadfully unfeeling.
The system whispered to itself. “Sometimes I don’t know whether it’s good or bad that you have the emotion erasing device activated.”
The host, with her emotions erased, didn’t have feelings for anyone.
Bai Weiwei didn’t hear it. But when she opened the door, the calmness in her face crumbled.
“Slagstem, you said that if the misunderstanding isn’t cleared up in time, I’ll be eaten by Song Yunhuan.”
System: “Don’t worry, you will.”
Bai Weiwei grabbed the car door. “Why don’t I just go back and explain it.”
System: “Okay, calm down. Didn’t we agree to heal him? You know you can’t get 100 points if you go back. My host is determined, firm, and very resourceful.”
It sighed. “There’s another way to die.”
Bai Weiwei: “?”
System: “You’ll probably die of fright, bah.”
Bai Weiwei: “…”
Entering L City was surprisingly smooth.
Bai Weiwei just showed a smile, and all of the people, including the inspector, opened the back door for her and let her enter L City.
Bai Weiwei: “How terrible is this heartthrob effect?”
System: “I think that it’s because Lin Xiao’s been going around saying you’re his fiancee, so they opened the back door for you.”
Bai Weiwei turned and saw Lin Xiao watching her.
Bai Weiwei couldn’t help but shiver. She really didn’t want to know what she looked like in his eyes.
Anyways, because of Lin Xiao, she was treated especially well in L City.
So even a tour of the new half-finished vaccine.
Lin Xiao was happy to lead the way.
“Did you know? We’re the only ones on the base who have developed the vaccine. Everybody will get the vaccine, so they don’t have to be worried about being bitten.”
Bai Weiwei flattered at the right time. “You guys are amazing.”
Lin Xiao stumbled, tears of joy in his eyes.
The goddess praised him.
Bai Weiwei didn’t want to know what Lin Xiao was thinking.
Those blocked captions must be scarier than nuclear energy.
In the lab, because Lin Xiao wanted to sneak her in for a peek at the vaccine, he tricked the researchers into leaving.
So Lin Xiao easily showed her the vaccine.
Bai Weiwei looked at the vial in her hands. The black liquid was bubbling.
It didn’t look like a vaccine.
It looked more like a witch’s poison.
She couldn’t stomach this vaccine.
Bai Weiwei looked at this thing and thought, where to hide it?
Thinking about it, she looked at the shallow gap in her chest.
Probably…couldn’t hold it.
She hadn’t yet finished thinking when the alarm went off.
“Zombie wave approaching.”
Lin Xiao’s face changed, and he hurriedly said, “I’m going to go out to take a look. You must not leave here.”
With that, he left.
Bai Weiwei took the opportunity to stuff the bottle…in her bag.
And then she walked out.
She saw people running around.
“D*mn it, it’s a massive wave of zombies. What the hell is going on? All the zombies in the area were destroyed, where did these ones come from?”
“There’s advanced zombies, and it’s not just one. How can it be? It’s unlikely for these zombies to gather together.”
“The base perimeter was destroyed, quickly evacuate the people.”
Bai Weiwei saw Lin Xiao running towards her. He grabbed her hand. “Weiwei, my uncle’s not back yet with the main force. We’ve been completely surrounded by zombies. Let’s get you into an underground bunker and hide.”
Bai Weiwei had to run to follow him.

“I need to get a vaccine from the base?”
“But they have lots of guards, and walls and guns. Won’t that be difficult?”
“Nope, it will be super easy, barely an inconvenience.”
“Yeah, they will just walk you straight in there and then leave you alone while you are holding it, then walk you away without checking.”
“But shouldnt there have been at least one guard inside the room containing the virus destroying vaccine?”
“incompetent guards and massive plot holes are Tight!”
…was that emotion cancellation thing mentioned earlier in the story?? 😕
Yes. System said that it was the reason she was able to go in and out of realities repeatedly without getting emotionally attached or having negative side effects. Can’t remember what chapter.
