The Film Tycoon’s National Sister (15)
Bai Ziwen felt a sharp pain in her wrist, and her head slammed into the ground.
She howled, her eyes crimson. “Bai Weiwei, you dare lay a hand against me? I’m your mother.”
Bai Weiwei, who has just finished eating her dessert, wiped her mouth. “En, those who know say that you’re my mom. Those who don’t know might think you’re a pimp1, only wanting to pimp out your daughter every day.”
This kind of mom.
She would politely decline.
Bai Ziwen drunkenly got up. Her hand hurt, and her head hurt.
The anger in her head burst. “You slut, I’ll kill you.”
The system announced: “The male lead is here, just outside the door.”
Bai Weiwei expressed that she heard it.
She cleared her voice and let out a choked voice filled with fear.
“Mom, I was wrong. Don’t hit me.”
Bai Ziwen sneered. “It’s too late to admit it now.”
She rarely beat Bai Weiwei–after all, her skin was still quite pretty. If Bai Ziwen beat her, how could she be sold off at a good price?
But the pain of being hounded by debt collectors, as well as the fear of retaliation.
Had been completely stirred up by Bai Weiwei’s mocking word of rebellion.
She reached for a cup and smashed it against Bai Weiwei’s head.
Bai Weiwei, reacting quickly, dodged, then issued a sharp and short cry of pain.
“It hurts… Mom, it hurts.”
Bai Ziwen’s head and eyes were clouded with alcohol, and she thought she really had hit Bai Weiwei.
She sneered. “It’s best if you die in pain. Without me, can you survive? You should be grateful to me, kneeling down and kowtowing to me.”
Bai Weiwei let out a desperate cry. “Mom…”
Bai Ziwen: “Waste, don’t call me Mom. You can’t even get into the Lu family, yet you still have the face to call me Mom?”
Bai Weiwei sobbed: “I’m sorry, Mom.”
Bai Ziwen smashed things in her fury2. “What did I say? Grab on to Lu Zixi and don’t let go, and make sure that he acknowledges you.”
Each time she smashed something, Bai Weiwei very cooperatively cried out in pain.
What was more, she made sure that the sounds gradually weakened.
“You can’t even grab Lu Zixi’s affections, what use is there for a waste like you?”
“Mom, I was wrong, it’s all my fault…”
“So what if you know you’re wrong? Lin Dao will be waiting for you at xx Hotel tonight. If you run away like you did last time, I’ll kill you.”
Bai Ziwen’s shrill voice passed through the cheap door panel.
Ringing throughout the hallway outside.
And in the corridor, leaning against the wall with a cigarette in hand, stood a tall silhouette.
His handsome face was clouded over with ice.
Listening to Bai Weiwei’s soft voice grow hoarse.
Calling out in fear and helplessness: “Mom, I was wrong.”
He put out the cigarette in his hand and lifted his foot to kick in the door.
But in less than two steps, he gritted his teeth, then returned to his original position.
Listening through the door panel.
Bai Weiwei’s sobbing as she was abused.
He coldly told himself that this was retribution.
Back then, if she hadn’t been born.
His mother wouldn’t have taken him to jump off the building.
That nightmare had haunted him for so many years, causing him to feel extreme resentment towards this mother and daughter.
The enemy was living so miserably. Shouldn’t he be applauding?
Another sound of something breaking, and he heard Bai Ziwen’s grating voice.
“Remember. Tonight, if you run away like last time, I’ll let you know what it means to live a life worse than death.”
Lu Zixi’s expression was frosty, and he clenched his teeth.
When he heard “Lin Dao,” he just barely recalled.
Lin Dao seemed to be a famous pervert in the circle.
He loved fresh and tender little girls, and it was said that a minor had died from being tossed around.

Another great chapter!!! *u*
But wouldn’t it be better if Weiwei had some bruise on her from Bai Ziwen? At least that would make the ordeal a bigger incident.
Lol Weiwei putting on a grand scene for the ML while not even getting harmed in the least, she’s just too good 🤣
I understand why, but it’s really aggravating that at this point he’s still blaming the child for his mother’s death, and not just blaming her mother (or better yet, her mother and his piece-of-shit father).
