The Superstar Little Brother-in-Law and The Social Butterfly Big Sister-in-Law (20)
He stared at her in silence and found that her eye makeup had run. He used the corner of his loose cuff to wipe her eyes.
Bai Weiwei blanked. Her eyes flashed a few traces of confusion.
He Nanxi whispered: “Don’t move.”
Her eyelashes fluttered a little. She held still and watched him with a pair of apricot eyes.
He Nanxi wiped the cosmetics off her face.
Can’t help but say: “Don’t buy this type of makeup in the future, it’s bad for the skin.”
Not even waterproof and it wasn’t good looking.
It must have been cheap.
There was some mist in Bai Weiwei’s eyes. She seemed hesitant and her lips were struggling to move.
In the end, she only faintly said, “Okay.”
He Nanxi scrutinized her and suddenly asked, “How did you know so much?”
Bai Weiwei didn’t understand, so she looked back at him. Her skin shimmered under the hazy yellow light of the street lamp.
He Nanxi’s thin lips were slightly numb, his beautiful brows were furrowed and black eyes observed her expression.
“How did you know I have ulcers and donate to charity?”
None of that had been hyped.
Neither had he brought attention to it himself.
The only people who knew was his hardcore fan base.
Was it his brother who told her? No, his brother was busy with the family business and simply didn’t bother with him, he was even less likely to know.
Bai Weiwei was silent. She looked at him somewhat flustered, then bowed her head to hide the faint blush spreading across her cheeks.
She seemed a little shy.
She hesitated for a moment before whispering something.
The streetlight hung over them in the quiet alley.
He Nanxi doubtfully said, “What did you say?”
Bai Weiwei lifted her head and glanced quickly at him. The light reflected in her eyes created a dazzling kind of beauty.
“I’m a fan of yours.”
He Nanxi looked at her foolishly.
Under the light, he had rubbed her face a bit red. Her fragile skin appeared more delicate and the tip of her nose was also red, like a porcelain doll.
In a trance, he repeated, “My fan?”
Did he still have any fans?
He witnessed his fan base disband before his eyes.
Bai Weiwei’s voice trembled a little, “I like your songs a lot, not because you are Dongling’s brother, I just like you.”
Just like you……
This sentence, pure and rushed, hit his heart in an instant.
【Ding, the male lead’s favorability is at 15.】
He Nanxi’s face turned red, but he quickly reacted.
When Bai Weiwei said she liked him, she meant she liked his songs.
Not his person.
He Nanxi blushed more powerfully and his brain was a little chaotic. After all, his sister-in-law was his own fan. This kind of thing.
He never considered it.
His mind wildly spun, it was never so embarrassing to meet his fans before.
He Nanxi took a long time before he said a sentence, “Do you want me to sign an autograph for you?”
Bai Weiwei heard this, she couldn’t help giggling, but she stopped halfway, worried that he was embarrassed. She had to smile.
She was full of smiles and sweetly said to him, “Yes.”
He Nanxi’s breath was disorderly. His eyes shook a bit, before shifting away from her smiling face.
He didn’t know what was wrong with him.
His heart was pounding.
He Nanxi was instinctively unwilling to think about it too deeply.
Suddenly a phone rang. He Nanxi reached out to pick up his mobile phone. The result was, his fingers stretched out halfway, before he realized that he had already turned off his phone and left it at home.
He looked up.
He saw Bai Weiwei answer her phone.
The ringtone was Loved You That Sunny Day.
It was a song he sang, as well as one of his favorite songs.
It had been his ringtone for years. He didn’t expect that Bai Weiwei also liked to use this song as a ringtone.
Piper: I continue the college hunt! I got rejected from my dream college :'( so now I got to find more options, but getting the motivation to do the applications is only getting harder and harder, plus with unending COVID situation, is it even worth it applying this year? Sigh.

College applications are rough!! Jiayou, I’m sure you’ll get in somewhere great :)))
I wonder if the original was also a fan of Nanxi and had the same ringtone by coincidence, or if this was a calculated move by Bai Weiwei.
This novel likes to leave somethings to the subtext, so it could really be either way.
I hope all goes well for you! With this level of work ethics, any schools should be lucky to have you 👌
I hope your future will be bright coz ur translation brighten my days.thank you🤗
XD You got to thank the translators for that, I just make sure the chapters are uploaded on time, they take on the brunt of the work right now
Cheer up, Piper.
It might not seems like it, but being inside a college (or having something profesional/official) to do while being unable to leave home is highly satisfying.
Also, in each college there are some optional and unexpected courses and classes (other that your chosen Degree).
In my case, I ended somewhat working with firefighter (those bodies…) when I signed for a extreme surgical course in my degree.
Yep, I already know that the path I will take in life will probably be something I don’t know exists right now, or something I never considered myself doing right now. It’s just that I got to sound like I have my stuff together for colleges, and of course do all the research to find one that I like, though I will probably be okay no matter where I go.
Thanks for the chapter and keep your college hunting spirits up 😉
Yep, that’s my goal, but it gets hard sometime (not to mention all my normal work too) I barely get a break before something new is assigned *sigh*
Time to continue my math homework Orz
Good luck and courage on your path, Piper!
