Sure enough, talking about money destroys feelings.
Bai Weiwei added: “If not, half a million would also do. Don’t talk about money and then play dead, ah.”
Who played dead, He Dongling was finally angry, “Money, money, money, can you not see my sincere intention to apologize?”
He Dongling, who had been a bad guy from when he was small, produced a strong sense of guilt for the first time.
How could she not be moved, ah?
Bai Weiwei: “No money, then roll. If your apology is so useful, can’t you just ascend to the heavens, ah.”
He Dongling: I feel like I’ve been hurt, heart’s in great pain.
【Ding, He Slag’s favorability is at 35.】
System: “This is hitting him until he doubts life, but also increasing favorability?”
Bai Weiwei: “Slag people all see love as cheap. Bitterly beg him and he will just think himself charming. Only by making him doubt life, by letting him know that he hurt someone and that they will hurt him back in turn, will he know what it is to be responsible for mistakes, ah.”
She wouldn’t be polite with slag people, beat him, hate him, get him.
Then let him feel a little warmth in the cold and he will gain favorability1.
To be honest it was still cheap.
He Dongling was angry, he forced himself up to walk.
But, his legs were weak and he just fell to the ground.
Bai Weiwei hurriedly bent over to support him. Her petite figure struggled to hold his heavy body, it seemed to be rather laborious.
He Dongling pressed half of his body on her thin form, his ear picked up her barely audible gasps.
Could feel her exhausting arms trembling.
He Dongling’s heart softened, “I still have some stocks, bought more than a million, I’ll give you six hundred thousand.”
Bai Weiwei frowned and glared at him coldly.
Without a word, she put him in a wheelchair and glanced at the time, “I’m off work.”
Having said that, she turned to leave.
He Dongling was stubborn, “Do you think it’s not enough money? Eight hundred thousand, can do?”
Bai Weiwei footsteps paused and looked back with eyes thick with ridicule.
“Do you think money really can erase everything? He Dongling, you gave me a lifetime’s worth of pain. I won’t forgive you, no amount of money is worth it.”
With that, she lifted her foot and left.
He Dongling stared at the shadow of her decisive departure. He tried to stand up, but fell back.
His handsome face scrunched a few times, “Didn’t you say half a million to forgive me? Why do you suddenly not want money.”
Why was this woman so difficult.
When she went out, she took a taxi to the TV station.
She was now a fan of He Nanxi, who scored his first talk show appearance since his comeback and needed support.
She grabbed tickets for a seat early on the Internet.
Although she couldn’t go congratulate Nanxi, it was still good to go to watch.
– – – – – – – – – –
On the talk show, He Nanxi wore a black suit and his thick, black hair was fluffy. His eyes were deep and dark, his legs were wrapped in suit pants, long and straight.
His tall thin body was a natural model’s frame.
A black suit, worn on that body, gave off a youthful feeling between adult and teenager.
It fused into a cool and eye catching temperament.
The host had also interviewed He Nanxi before.
He Nanxi became famous in his youth, however at that time he didn’t have such a textured temperament.
Now he had experienced hardships.
It commanded people’s attention.
He Nanxi sat on the single person couch, with the host opposite him.
The topics were all selected and about after He Nanxi’s comeback.
The management company he signed up with had already sent their greetings.
Insisted they not be too forceful, plus Jiu Ye hadn’t said anything.
Everyone gave the management company face and stopped.
1: Bai Weiwei’s battle plan sounds suspiciously similar to giving him Stockholm Syndrome.↩
Piper: We now have successfully translated Chapter 123, Chapter 456, and Chapter 789! I get excited about the weirdest of things… Anyway, thank you for all those who have stuck with us during this long adventure XD
For a moment I wondered who made the footnote, then I checked my files and realized it was me, heh.
I really like the random thoughts you leave here and there. They are like hidden pearls among the history. *Thumbs up to you.
I have a pair of questions, why did you decided to translate webnovels? And where did you find those (original raws, I mean)?
It threw me off ’cause I usually put those in a “TheWhiteBook’s Corner”.
As for your questions:
I really like reading CNovels, the cultural exchange and various new settings and styles were a breath of fresh air for me, who was a bit burnt out on western works. But, one thing I found I really appreciated was the comment system at the bottom of each chapter. It was like being part of a book club. There was a lot of fun in seeing what parts people reacted to, and people’s speculations as well as the small hints and spoilers left by those who read ahead. I had so much fun I wanted to contribute to that community.
When I translate, I motivate myself by thinking of what parts the commenters might react to, but a lot of the time there’s no comments about the chapter at all so I’ve been debating pretty hard as to whether I should just retire for like a year.
As for raws, NU lists where to find the novels official site on it’s page. In this ones case though, that site doesn’t have all of them. I bounce between several sites, cross-referencing and using search engines whenever a chapter doesn’t smoothly transition to the next one.
I see. I’m glad you decided to continue. This is so much fun to read and at the begining I was a bit shy to interact, but then it’s like you said: it’s like a reading club, commenting the books and parts we like and dislike.
Congratulations 123456789 🎊🥳🎉
